国際現代写真展「DIALOGUES（対話）」は、国内外アーティストふたりを一組とする展覧会シリーズです。このダイアローグ展の特徴は、お互いのアイデアやスキルを活かしながら、各々の既存の作品を見極め尊重し、世界発信に向けたアートシーンを築いていくものです。本展は、写真作品によるダナ・フリッツ（アメリカ）と高田洋三（日本）がタッグを組んで開催します。
ダナ・フリッツは、ネブラスカ大学で写真芸術を教えながら、個人作家として長年にわたり写真制作を行ってきました。また、高田洋三は、2016年2月に札幌大通地下ギャラリー500m美術館賞で「グランプリ」に受賞し、現在、日本における最も注目される現代写真家になります。
本展をきっかけに継続的な写真を通した文化交流が可能となり、国際ネットワークを繋げていきます。

高田洋三、東京
高田洋三は、ドキュメンタリーでありながら、絵画的であり、どこか非現実的な風景をつくりだす。社会がつくる風景と、そこにつくられる私たちの日常のリアリティを、写真がつくる虚構の世界を通して観察しているような、アイロニーとユーモアを交えた視点をもっている。クラウド・ミュージアム2013（名古屋）、札幌国際芸術祭2014に参加。第４回 札幌500m美術館賞2016 グランプリ受賞。
Yozo Takada, Japan
Yozo Takada photographs the landscape and human manipulation of it with irony, humor and a quiet sensitivity. Without any manipulation, his documentary-style photographs amplify the fictional potential of the real world and ask viewers to consider their place in society. His work has been included in many exhibitions in the U.S. and Japan including the Sapporo International Art Festival, 2014. Recently, he has won the 4th Sapporo 500m Gallery Award in 2016.
ダナ・フリッツ, ネブラスカ
ダナ・フリッツは、現在ネブラスカ‐リンカーン大学の芸術学部教授。これまで自然環境をテーマに写真作品を制作している。最近では、アメリカ全土やフランス、中国、日本などで60以上の展覧会に出品している。日本では、PlaceM（東京）や豊田市美術館（愛知）の展覧会に参加している。また、アメリカ、フランスの美術館に収蔵されていて、アーティスト・イン・レジデンスにも数多く参加している。
Dana Fritz, Nebraska, USA
Dana Fritz is Professor of Art at University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Her photographs focus on the ways we shape and represent the natural world. In the last decade, her work has been in over 60 exhibitions in the U.S., France, China and Japan including Place M and Toyota Municipal Museum of Art. Fritz has been awarded artist residencies at Villa Montalvo (California,) PLAYA (Oregon,) and Biosphere 2 (Arizona.)

The International Photography Exhibition: DIALOGUES IV “Distant Affinity”, is the fourth exhibition of DIALOGUES as the series of contemporary art exhibitions curated by Emiko Kato, Art wAutonomy Network[AAN].
The exhibition is held in NICA: Nihonbashi Institute of Contemporary Arts in order to provide the opportunity of the international contemporary arts in the central Tokyo.
Dana Fritz (Nebraska, USA) and Yozo Takada (Tokyo, Japan,) the two participating artists, bring their work together to create an exhibition that will engage global ideas about the past, present and future. Fritz and Takada use photography as their creative method and it serves as the main medium for this exhibition.

NICA: Nihonbashi Institute of Contemporary Arts
Nihonbashi Institute of Contemporary Arts［NICA］is situated in a historical area called
Nihonbashi. Since 2015 NICA, an alternative art space, provides the opportunity to experience contemporary arts in the central Tokyo. NICA hosts international projects such as workshops, exhibitions, symposia, and talk evets. Nihonbashi district has been a large mercantile centre since Edo period (17th -19th Century) to the present day. Nihonbashi developed as Japan’s predominant financial district in Tokyo. The town name “Nihonbashi” is actually derived from the particular “bridge” itself. It is well known that the bridge was a starting point of five major routes (Godaikaido) since the Edo era. The bridge has attracted many people and lots of artists depicted the bridge in their art works. It is obvious that the role of bridge, one of the forms of construction, is to connect and combine the various links.
And, in fact, the bridge has become symbol inspiring the creation and development of art projects throughout its historical and cultural circumstances.
